Man Caught Allegedly High-Range Drink Driving With Three Young Kids In Car

The 48-year-old man blew more than three times over the legal limit.

Police spotted a car travelling through Sydney's Northern Beaches with its headlights off at about 1.45 am on Tuesday.

The 48-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi Outlander was pulled over and breath tested.

After allegedly returning a positive result, he was taken to Dee Why Police Station, where he blew an alleged breath analysis of 0.168 -- more than three times the legal limit.

A female passenger, as well as three children aged two, nine and 10 were allegedly inside the car while the man was driving.

He has been charged with high-range Prescribed Concentration of Alcohol ( PCA) and has had his license suspended.

Police have also submitted a 'child at risk notification' to the Department of Family and Community Services.

The man is due to face Manly Local Court of February 6.
