Woman Charged With Murder Of Nine-Week-Old Baby
An Adelaide woman has been charged with murder following the death of a nine-week-old baby earlier this month.
South Australia Police and ambulance crews were called to Woodville, in the city's north-west, around 9am on December 5 after reports of an unresponsive baby.
Despite efforts to revive the infant, it was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Thursday, police arrested a 40-year-old woman and charged her with murder.
Currently detained in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital under the Mental Health Act, she will face a bedside court hearing this afternoon.
Police have not said what gender the baby was, nor where the baby was found.
