14-Year-Old Schoolgirl Allegedly Plotted Massacre Of Her Bullies
Until now, the stabbing of a teenage student at an Adelaide college last year is all that could be revealed about what the Year 9 girl is alleged to have done. But after a secrecy order was lifted, the full story can be told.
It is alleged the 14-year-old stabbed a fellow 17-year-old student in the shoulder blade while in the bathroom of their Adelaide college on August 1 of this year.
Prosecutors now say the victim was not the intended target but rather, the 14-year-old accused was using her as practice ahead of a planned massacre.
They say she'd plotted to kill five other students that day because they had subjected her to years of physical and emotional abuse.
Police say they found a calendar event on the teen's phone for the day of the stabbing, called "special day", and marked by a knife and love heart emoji.
Police also say they found knives and scissors in her backpack.
The teen's lawyer today told the court her client is the victim and the alleged abuse had pushed her to a suicide attempt.
She added that any hardship caused to the five girls by making the allegations public, they'd brought upon themselves.
The 14-year-old is charged with causing harm and having an intent to kill or endanger life.
She's undergoing psychological treatment while on bail, and is due back in court at the end of the month.
