Pair Stabbed In Sydney Home Invasion, Shot Man Arrested

Police were managing two people who had been stabbed during a home invasion when they received reports of a man who had been shot crashing his car into a tree.

Two people have been stabbed during a home invasion at a rural property in Sydney's west, with police later taking a man who had been shot into custody.

Police were called to a Bringelly property at about 11.20pm on Monday following reports a man and woman, armed with a gun and a knife, had forced their way inside.

Upon arriving, police found three people, including a woman who had been stabbed in the neck and hand and a man who had been stabbed in the chest and stomach, seeking shelter at a neighbouring property.

They are both believed to be in a serious condition while the third person, another man, was not injured.

As the officers were dealing with the home invasion, police received reports of a car having crashed into a tree on The Northern Road, Luddenham.

The driver, a man, was found to have been shot while his passenger, a woman, was uninjured.

The man was taken to hospital under police guard and the woman is assisting police with their inquiries.

The Northern Road remains blocked in both directions between Badgerys Creek Road and Adams Road, as investigations continue.
