Two Charged With Allegedly Murdering And Torturing Young Girl Who Was 'Missing'

Two people have been charged with murder following the investigation of a missing girl in Queensland's Western Downs Region.

Five-year-old Kaydence Mills was born in September 2014 and had been missing since 2016.

A spokesman for QLD Police confirmed to 10 daily they were digging up a site in Chinchilla Weir on Sunday in relation to the case.

Late last year, police and forensics conducted an extensive search of the home where Mills had been living with her mother and siblings.

Following the investigation on Sunday, detectives have charged two people who were known to the Chinchilla girl with murder, torture and interfering with a corpse.

A 40-year-old man and 28-year-old woman will appear in the Dalby Magistrates Court on Monday.
