Teenage Boy Faces Court Charged With Murder Of Omar Elomar

An 18-year-old man will front court on Wednesday over the targeted shooting death of Omar Elomar in Sydney's west.

Emergency services were called to Cabramatta Avenue in Miller on February 15 after reports a teenager had been shot.

Despite the efforts of paramedics, the 18-year-old man died at the scene.

The teenager has since been identified as Omar Elomar, who was working as an accountant for his family's business.



Police Slam 'Cowards' After Shooting Of 'Innocent' Teen Killed In Front Of His Family

Police have called a group of men "cowards" after they met with an 18-year-old and members of his family before he was fatally shot in an unprovoked incident in Sydney's west.

Detectives charged an 18-year-old man for allegedly withholding information last week, and he remains before the courts.

Following further inquiries, the same man was arrested at Surry Hills Police Station just after 7.30pm on Tuesday.

He has been charged with murder and refused bail to appear at Central Local Court on Wednesday.
