Target Recalls Lollies Over Plastic Contamination Fears

Target is recalling 'The Fabulous Food Company Jersey Caramels' over fears the lollies have been contaminated by pieces of plastic.

The NSW Food Authority issued the recall on Friday, affecting all 200 gram products with 'Best Before' dates ranging from August 2018 up to and including February 2021.

The Fabulous Food Company Jersey Caramels are sold in Target stores across the country.

"Food products containing plastic may cause injury if consumed," NSW Food Authority said.

The product has been removed from sale on Target's website.

Consumers who have bought this product should not eat it and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
