Celebrity Trainer Michelle Bridges Allegedly Caught Drink Driving With Child In Car
Celebrity trainer Michelle Bridges has allegedly been caught drink-driving with a five-year-old child in the car with her at the time.
Bridges, formerly a trainer on the fitness show 'The Biggest Loser', was allegedly caught behind the wheel while over the alcohol limit at around 11:25am on Sunday, Australia Day.
NSW Police did not confirm the identity of the accused but said a 49-year-old woman driving a Range Rover SUV had been the subject of a roadside breath test on New South Head Road at Bellevue Hill, in Sydney's eastern suburbs.
"A five-year-old passenger was in the car at the time," police said in a statement.
The Potts Point woman was arrested and taken to Waverly Police Station where she allegedly returned a breath analysis reading of 0.086, police said.
"She was issued a future court attendance notice for mid-range PCA."
She is due to appear at Waverly Local Court on February 18.
On Monday, Bridges apologised for the incident and said she had "deep regret for breaking the law."
In a statement to The Daily Telegraph, Bridges said she made a "terrible mistake and an error of judgement" and said her behaviour was inexcusable.
Bridges also said she was dealing with her recent split from her longtime partner and fellow The Biggest Loser trainer 'Commando' Steve Willis -- with whom she shares a son, Axel.
"This is by no means an excuse for my behaviour but I feel the emotional turmoil I have been going through has impacted my decision making," she told the paper.
