Brisbane Teen Fighting For Life After Australia Day Brawl

A teenager is fighting for his life in Brisbane hospital after an Australia Day brawl left him with life-threatening injuries.

Eight people allegedly forced their way into the iStay River City hotel on Albert Street on Sunday about 9:20 pm before a fight broke out in one of the rooms, police said.

The 18-year-old man was rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.

A report by the Courier Mail alleges the teenager was stabbed in the chest. Two other teenage boys, both 17, were also injured.

One was also taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with wounds to his shoulder and abdomen. The other was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital with a significant injury to his face.

Another 18-year-old boy is currently assisting police with their investigation.
