Fire At Sydney School Hall Blankets Suburb In Thick Smoke

Fire crews have managed to contain a huge blaze that engulfed a school hall on Sydney's lower north shore on Tuesday.

Fire and Rescue NSW said crews were called to Austin St Lane Cove about 4:20 pm, after receiving multiple triple zero calls about a fire.

Detectives are investigating what caused the blaze.

Acting Superintendent Rob Jansen said a large amount of smoke was seen by crews as they travelled to the scene.
