Original Wiggles Reuniting For Adults-Only Fundraiser

Get your fruit salads sliced, your hot potatoes boiling and your voices ready to wake up Jeff, because everyone's favourite childhood memory is wiggling back into town.

The original members of The Wiggles are performing a one-off show in Sydney to raise funds for bushfire relief.

Anthony, Murray, Jeff and Greg will all be at Castle Hill RSL on January 18 for an over-18s concert.

"OG Wiggles reunion show to raise some much-needed funds for bushfire relief," they said in a tweet.

"ALL proceeds from the show will be going to the Australian Red Cross and WIRES."

Blue Wiggle Anthony Field spoke to 2GB after the announcement on Monday, and said this could "be just the start of it".

"People can drink whatever they like and sing along to 'Joannie Works With Five Hammers'," he said.

Barnesy Joins The Wiggles For Surprise Appearance

It was a clash of the generations, when Aussie rock legend Jimmy Barnes joined The Wiggles on stage on Saturday.

While there will be a lot of fun to be had, there is also a serious side to their concert.

“We’ve got some firies coming down from the Newcastle area. We want them to take the applause on behalf of all the firies," he said.

“They’re really looking forward to it too, just getting out there and I suppose just for an hour or two forgetting about what they’ve been doing and seeing, and put a bit of a smile on their face too.”
