Teacher Charged After Car Allegedly Driven At Students

A Sydney school teacher has been charged with intimidation after he allegedly drove his car towards a group of students who were playing basketball.

NSW Police said the incident occurred at about 3:20pm on Tuesday afternoon at a school in Cabramatta, south-west of the city.

It is alleged that the male teacher deliberately drove towards the students several times while they were playing basketball on the school grounds.

Police claimed the students had to move to avoid being hit by the car.

The 30-year-old teacher was arrested at a home in the nearby suburb of Casula.

He was then taken to a police station and charged with taking an action that resulted in emotional or intellectual damage and intimidation.

The teacher was granted conditional bail and is expected to appear at Liverpool Local Court on December 30.
