Two-Year-Old Rushed To Hospital After Falling From Third Floor Window

A toddler has suffered serious injuries after falling from the window of a third-storey apartment building in Sydney on Saturday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the building in Gladesville just before 1:30pm, where paramedics treated the toddler for serious injuries to his head and leg, as well as possible internal injuries.

It's believed the child fell from the window of the third floor and onto the concrete below.

CareFlight's rapid response helicopter was called in to help paramedics on the scene before the young boy was transported to The Children's Hospital at Westmead in a serious but stable condition.

CareFlight said its specialist team had been returning to base after earlier treating a 15-year-old teenager who is believed to have been hit by a car while riding a bicycle at Manly, when they were called to help the toddler.

Police said they are speaking with the two-year-old's parents as investigations into the incident continue.
