Human Remains Found Could Belong To Fisherman Missing For Weeks

Human remains have been discovered off the coast of Wollongong, with police believing they belong to a rock fisherman who went missing last month.

A recreational diver spotted the remains underwater near Red Point at Point Kembla on Saturday afternoon and alerted police, who located them soon after.

Police believe the remains are those of a 66-year-old rock fisherman who hasn't been seen since going fishing in Port Kembla on August 26.

More to come.
