Elderly Woman Attacked By Fake Tradies
An elderly woman has been assaulted in her own home by two men pretending to be tradies.
Adelaide woman Eva Donlon, 82, was home alone on Tuesday morning when the pair entered the cabin she lives in at a southern suburbs caravan park, and attacked her. They fled in a black SUV.
"I did hear yelling in a very strange and I thought it was tomcats," neighbour Ria Barlage told 10 News First.
"She's always looking for people to fix her house, for tradespeople, and she invited them in," another neighbour Geoffrey Gill said.
It's understood the suspects held Donlon down and hit her on the face during the incident.
The attack has left the small community shaken.
"I feel scared, I always say it's so safe here, nothing ever happens," Barlage said.
Friends of Donlon told 10 News First she had recently won some money playing pokies, and they believe that could be the motive behind the attack.
It's not known if anything was stolen during the incident.
Eva was taken to hospital for minor injuries.
Her attackers are still on the run.
