Teenager Dead, Another Critically Injured After Car Collided With Tree
A teenage boy has died after the vehicle he was in crashed into a tree in central Queensland.
A vehicle was travelling along Machi Nine Road in Rockhampton at 4pm on Monday when it left the road and collided with the tree, police say.
The front seat passenger, a 16-year-old boy, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 19-year-old male driver was taken to Rockhampton Base Hospital for treatment to critical injuries.
A 16-year-old female, who was in the back seat of the car, was taken to the same hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
