Nationwide Search Ends After Missing Boy Found

Following an Australia-wide search, police have located a child missing for the past eight months.

The young boy, who can't be named, was found in Tasmania by authorities on Tuesday, the Australian Federal Police said.

He had gone missing from Adelaide.

Police announced the search -- which spanned across Australia -- on Monday after it was revealed his father had not seen him since October 2018.

The four-year-old was believed to be with his mother. The last sighting of the pair was in Bordertown, South Australia, in February.

10 daily understands the child was found in Launceston.

No details about the circumstances in which he was found have been released.
