Helicopter Crash In Kakadu National Park, Three Injured

Three people have been injured after a helicopter crashed in Kakadu National Park.

All three people were trapped inside and sustained injuries, Northern Territory police said.

The extent of their injuries is not yet known, but it is believed one person has been freed from the aircraft.

A CareFlight rescue chopper is en route from Darwin.

Two people on the flight were Kakadu National Park staff members, a Parks Australia spokesperson confirmed. The third is an external contractor.

All three were taking part in an "aerial feral animal cull" at the time of the accident.

"Emergency services are working to transport passengers to Darwin for medical attention," the spokesperson said.
