Lost Naked Boy Found Wandering Streets Of Melbourne

A young boy was found, naked and alone, early on Thursday morning, with police mounting a desperate search for his parents.

Police said the naked boy knocked on the door of a Hibberd Street residence in Highett, Melbourne, around 2.45am on Thursday morning.

Emergency services were alerted by the residents of the home, and the boy was taken to hospital for medical assessment.

He is believed to be nine years old, but was non-verbal and police were initially unable to gather information about his parents' whereabouts.

Police released an image of the boy, hoping someone will recognise him and come forward. Soon after, the boy's parents came forward.

"The concerned parents of the young boy found wandering in Highett early this morning have come forward," Victoria Police said around 10.30am.

"Police wish to thank the media and public for their assistance."
