Men Pose As Uber Eats Delivery Riders To Steal From Secure Car Park

Two men pretending to be Uber Eats delivery riders managed to gain access to a secure car park.

Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance after two men posed as Uber Eats delivery cyclists broke into a secure garage in central Melbourne and stole two bikes.

The men, carrying what appeared to be typical insulated Uber Eats delivery bags, tailgated a vehicle to get past a car park security gate in Docklands about 4.30pm on March 4.

One of the men police believe can assist with their inquiries.

On the fourth level of the car park they used an angle grinder to cut the security chains off two bikes attached to a railing.

The two men walked around the car park for a short time before leaving the bikes.

Investigators have released CCTV footage and images of two men they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
