Female Cyclist Dies In Hospital After Truck Crash On Busy Sydney Road

A 21-year-old woman involved in a truck crash on Sydney's Parramatta Road last week has sadly died in hospital. 

The cyclist was rushed to hospital in a critical condition last Thursday night following a collision with a truck at the intersection of Parramatta Road and Western Avenue in Camperdown.

Paramedics treated the woman at the scene before taking her to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

Her life support was turned off just before midday on Wednesday, police confirmed.

It's believed the collision took place as the truck was turning left onto Parramatta Road from Western Avenue.

The truck driver was uninjured and has undergone mandatory testing. No charges have been laid.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
