A Crocodile Was Seized At A Former Bikie's Home In Western Sydney

A former bikie has been charged more than a month after police raided his home in western Sydney and found a live freshwater crocodile inside.

Last month, detectives from Strike Force Raptor raided the Colebee home of a former Finks member, as part of ongoing investigations into illicit activities by illegal motorcycle gangs.

There they found a couple of jet skis, two Yamaha trail motorcycles, a Mercedes Benz sedan and a trailer -- all believed to have been stolen -- along with the aforementioned croc.

The items, along with some cash, were seized and underwent forensic examination.

The croc was also seized, as none of the residents held a Wildlife Exhibitors Licence. It's now being looked after by Featherdale Wildlife Park in Doonside, police told 10 daily.

It's not known what condition the croc is in, but Featherdale has been contacted for comment.

Police arrested a 24-year-old at the Colebee home last Friday, charging him with four counts of dealing with property suspected of being proceeds of crime, two counts of possessing a motor vehicle where the unique identifier has been interfered with, and one count of dealing in protected animals.

He was granted strict conditional bail and is due to appear at Blacktown Local Court next month.
