RSPCA Call For Help Over 'Brutal' Attack On Dog Caught On Video

Disturbing video has emerged of what appears to be a brutal attack on a dog in a suburban street of Mackay, Queensland.

The distressing footage shows a man appearing to lunge suddenly at the dog, before repeatedly punching the animal, as another man watches nearby.

The man then appeared to attempt to pick up the dog before slamming it to the ground, before it flees.

The RSPCA is now appealing for the public to help identify the man filmed in the incident.

It is believed the incident occurred around 5pm on February 13, on Green Street in Mackay.

"It is not known whether the dog belonged to the man, or if it was a dog wandering in the neighbourhood," RSPCA Queensland said in a post on Facebook.

On Wednesday, RSPCA told 10 daily the distressing footage was sent in by a member of the public, but said the organisation could not comment further on any developments in their investigation.
