Grave fears are held for the 50-year-old man, who is still missing.

It is believed the men were not wearing life jackets, but police have not confirmed this.

Witness Terry Newby told media he was it appears one man fell from the jetski, and when the other jumped in to rescue him, was pulled under.

"I've got kids scared to get in the water now," Newby said.

"Wear a lifejacket -- especially if you can't swim."
