Teenage Girls Rushed To Hospital After Suspected Overdose At School

Four teenage girls have been rushed to hospital from a school in the Gold Coast after reportedly overdosing on an "unknown substance" on Friday.

The students at Southport State High School were taken to Gold Coast University Hospital after reportedly taking the substance.

A spokesperson for Queensland Ambulance Services told 10 daily all four were now in stable conditions in the hospital.

Emergency services were first called to the school on Smith Street at 8:30am on Friday morning.

Police are on the scene.
