Explosive Materials Found In Raid At Queensland Property

An emergency situation has been revoked in Queensland after police raiding a home in Kallangur, north of Brisbane, found explosive materials.

Queensland police officers shut down streets within the Moreton Bay area suburb just after midday on Tuesday, while explosives teams assessed the scene.

The area was deemed safe following a controlled detonation.

"The material will now be scientifically tested," police said in a statement.

"The PSPA was declared shortly after midday after the execution of a search warrant at a residence uncovered what are believed to be explosive material," police said earlier.

Earlier sections of Coppin Street West and Gardner Street West were closed bordering the intersections of Archer and Cliff Streets.

The area was reopened at 4:30pm.

Police said a man aged in his 40s was arrested after drugs were allegedly located at the residence.
