Boy Critically Ill After Being Pulled From NSW Lagoon

A critically ill pre-schooler has been flown to hospital after he was pulled unconscious from a lagoon on NSW's Central Coast.

The boy, 4, was intubated and placed in an induced coma at Avoca Beach on Tuesday evening before being flown to The Children's Hospital at Westmead, Careflight said.

Off-duty doctors and surf lifesavers on scene also treated a six-year-old girl pulled from the lagoon before paramedics drove her to Gosford Hospital.
