Beyond The Valley Festival: Man, 20, Dies After Suspected Drug Overdose

A 20-year-old man has died in hospital after suffering a suspected drug overdose at a music festival east of Melbourne.

The  young man, from Mansfield, was flown to hospital in a critical condition on Saturday after attending the Beyond the Valley festival at Lardner.

Victoria Police later confirmed he died on Tuesday morning.

"The circumstances surrounding his death are yet to be determined, however it is not being treated as suspicious," police said in a statement.

Police indicated they could not release further information as the matter was before the Coroner.

Two other men have been hospitalised in recent days at the same festival that runs from December 28 until January 1.

It comes just days after the death of a 22-year-old man who attended another music festival on the NSW Central Coast.

The man, from the Brisbane suburb of Toowong, died in Gosford Hospital on Saturday night after taking an unknown substance.

Organisers of the Falls Festival across the country on Sunday sent text messages to punters warning them of "extremely dangerous" orange pills in circulation.
