Tourist Drowns On Queensland Sunshine Coast Beach
A tourist has died at a popular beach on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.
The 58-year-old man, understood to be a tourist from outside Australia, was pulled unconscious from the surf on Saturday, Queensland Police said.
The man was treated by paramedics at the scene but did not survive.
A post-mortem examination is expected to take place in the next few days.
The death is believed to be the seventh drowning in six days across the country and the second in one day after a woman drowned in a creek in Victoria on Saturday afternoon.
