A new cancer therapy that supercharges a patient’s immune cells to destroy cancer has been approved for use in Australia. The Therapeutic Goods Administration has approved CAR-T therapy for use in young patients with B-cell precursor acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, as well as some lymphoma patients who haven’t responded to other treatments.

Rescue crews have found no sign of a man who was swept out to sea near Coffs Harbour on the NSW mid-north coast. He was one of six who got in trouble in the water late on Monday. Two men drowned, while three teenagers were pulled to safety.
