Uber Passengers Report Outages Nationwide
Users of both Uber and UberEATS have reported app outages across Australia and the world, affecting user profiles and driver tracking.
The outages are being reported worldwide, with passengers and drivers reporting being left stranded.
The ride share company said it was "aware of the issue", and was working to fix it.
“We are aware of a technical issue that is preventing some customers from using our app. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and are working quickly to resolve the issue," an Uber spokesperson told 10 daily.
The map function on the app is not showing passengers where their driver's car is, or giving estimated arrival times, according to reports from customers.
Passengers have reported they are still being charged cancellation fees if they cancel, despite not knowing whether there is a driver on the way.
More to come.
