Cranky Roo Gives Childcare Workers A Fright

A kangaroo got itself into some trouble today.

Workers at a western Sydney childcare centre arrived at work Tuesday Morning  to find a juvenile kangaroo stuck in their fence.

The male marsupial had somehow wedged himself between two bars in the  fence and was frantically trying to escape, to no avail.

Firefighters were called about 7am and managed to free the animal by prying the bars apart, but the ordeal wasn't over.

The kangaroo would not cooperate and became aggressive as fire fighters tried to herd him to safety, forcing them to call animal rescue officers, who attended and removed the animal.

Wildlife rescue officers have now released him back into the wild, safe and well.
