The Joie I-Travvel Signature Convertible Safety Seat was found during a Car Restraint Evaluation Program (CREP) to have ejected a dummy representing a child.
The seat retailed for more than $600. Joie has defended the car seat's safety, claiming the test falls outside official Australian Safety Standards, which it meets.
