Beer Spills Onto Highway After Semi-Trailer Crashes and Rolls

Commuters are in for a chaotic morning after a beer truck rolled on the M7, spilling its load everywhere.

NSW Police were called to the highway, between Elizabeth Drive and Cowpasture Road, about 2.30 am on Monday after the semi-trailer crashed.

Shocking pictures from the scene show the truck on its side, blocking the entire road and the beer inside leaking onto the cement.

The driver has been taken to Liverpool Hospital with a head injury and will undergo mandatory testing.

Emergency crews are working to clear the scene, but the M7's northbound lanes are expected to be closed for some time.

Southbound lanes are open, but a 40km/h speed limit is in place.
