Shane Warne Is Selling His Baggy Green To Raise Money For Bushfire Victims
Shane Warne will auction off his beloved baggy green to raise money for bushfire victims.
The former Australian cricketer announced on a post on his Instagram that he would sell his iconic cap to the highest bidder.
He said the horrific Australian bushfires had left him in disbelief.
The impact these devastating fires are having on so many people is unthinkable and has touched us all.
"Everyone is in this together and we continue to find ways to contribute and help on a daily basis. This has lead me to auction of my beloved baggy green cap (350) that I wore throughout my Test career (when I wasn’t wearing my white floppy hat)," he wrote to his one-million-strong Instagram following.
I hope my baggy green can raise some significant funds to help all those people that are in desperate need.
An online auction has been set up with all proceeds to be donated to the Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund.
You can bid on the iconic baggy green cap here --but be quick as the auction ends Friday 10 January 2020.
