Toni Collette Thanks NSW Ambulance Workers For Saving Husband's Life

Australian actor Toni Collette has thanked the emergency responders who saved her husband’s life.

The film and television star revealed her musician husband Dave Galafassi had been involved in a devastating motorbike accident over Christmas.

“He’s now recovering slowly but well,” Collette wrote of Galafassi’s condition in an update on Instagram on Christmas Day.

“We’re so lucky to still have him.”

Collette said that may not have been possible without the help of emergency responders from NSW ambulance and the Toll Ambulance Rescue Helicopter Service.

“Thank you so very much for your swiftness, clarity, knowledge, compassion and dedication … You saved him and we cannot thank you enough.”

Collette and Galafassi married in 2003.

Reflecting on their marriage earlier this year, Collette told TV Week that it was important to “be open to adventure”.

“You need to grow together, to keep communicating and stay open to each other, support each other and have each other's backs,” she reportedly said.

“My husband is such a good person. He's so patient. He's amazing with our kids and he's so loving, caring and supportive. He puts everybody else first. I'm the luckiest woman, I really am.”
