Radio Star Sammy Power Dies At 55 After Retiring To Run Farmers Markets
Former radio presenter Sammy Power has been found dead in her home aged just 55.
The Queensland broadcaster, affectionately known as 'the queen of radio', was confirmed dead on Monday, after she was found in her home at Hendra.
The 55-year-old had previously spoken publicly about her battle with mental health issues, and her death is not believed to be suspicious.
Power was a breakfast presenter at Triple M before she retired, telling listeners she felt "burnt out"
She went on to help her mum run Brisbane's farmers markets.
Friends flooded social media with heartbroken tributes to a woman they said made them feel instantly welcome, with a great sense of humour.
