Sydney Toddler Who Disappeared With Her Mum Found Safe

A 15-month old girl has been found safe at a property in Sydney's west, three days after she disappeared with her mum.

Police launched a desperate search for Peta Hodgson and her mum Sarah Hodgson, 29, after they were last seen at their home in Magellan Avenue, Lethbridge Park.

The pair left the house, about 47km west of the Sydney CBD, just after 2pm on Tuesday and had not been seen since.

Officers who said they had "extreme concerns" for Peta's safety launched a wide-scale search to find the young girl.

On Friday, police confirmed Peta had been found safe at about 3:55pm at an address in Penrith.

"Police would like to thank the public and members of the media for their assistance in relation to this matter," NSW Police said in a statement.

Officers said investigations into the incident are continuing.
