Brekky Wrap: Childcare Centre Shut Down Amid Allegations Of Child Sex Abuse

A childcare centre in the U.K. has been shut down as police investigate the alleged sexual assault of children as young as two. Officers have spoken to more than 100 families whose children attended Jack and Jill Childcare in Devon. It's believed up to a dozen children may be suspected victims. A teenage worker has been arrested, while the business' licence has been suspended.  “The contact appears to have been limited within the nursery setting and we do not believe that any other member of staff had knowledge of these matters,” Acting Detective Chief Inspector James Stock said. The accused is due in court on November 22.

The Federal Government is expected to finalise details of a drought strategy today. It’s understood a drought task force has recommended a focus on a 'long-term resilience and preparedness strategy' as well as more immediate measures. The package is expected to focus on country towns as well as farms.

A woman is due to appear in a Sydney court after two toddlers were taken to hospital suffering from a suspected drug overdose in August.

A man has been crushed to death in a workplace incident in Sydney’s west.The worker, in his 50s, became trapped under a steel ramp in Ingleburn at about 8pm last night. An investigation is underway.

Nine women and children have been gunned down during an ambush by a suspected drug cartel in Mexico. At least eight children managed to escape the targeted vehicles and hide in bushland, but five suffered bullet wounds. Investigators found more than 200 bullet casings around the scene.
