Brekky Wrap: Sickening Images Released Of Monkeys Screaming In Testing Lab

Sickening footage and images of monkeys being strapped into harnesses to be experimented upon have been released online. The monkeys are believed to captives of  LPT Laboratory of Pharmacology and Toxicology just outside of Hamburg in Germany. At least seven monkeys are seen suspended in metal frames by the neck, some of them visibly terrified as unidentifiable workers move around them, preparing to conduct their work.

Animal activist organisations Cruelty Free International and Soko Tierschutz managed to obtain the footage, with the view to expose the alleged abuse.

The undercover footage shows the monkeys being handled violently. The footage also shows dogs and cats in various states of distress at the facility.

Global and local outcry over the treatment of the animals has led to calls for the facility to be shut. Criminal charges have been lodged.

Sydney Man Jock Palfreeman has been released from a Bulgarian jail. The 32-year-old served 11 years of a 20-year sentence for murdering two Bulgarian youths. Palfreeman has always said he acted in self-defence.
