Mustang Driver Spectacularly Crashes Car, Mounts Power Pole Rigging

A woman has escaped injury after crashing a car into wiring and up a power pole in Melbourne's inner suburbs.

Emergency crews were called to Princess Street, near the Chandler Highway in Kew, just before 7.30am on Monday.

Dramatic footage obtained by 10 News First shows the black Mustang mounting a median strip and colliding with the wire rigging at the base of a power pole.

The car can be seen resting at a 45-degree angle on the wire, just short of the power pole itself.

Thankfully the driver -- aged in her 20s -- managed to clamber out with the help of firefighters. She was checked over by paramedics at the scene, but ultimately walked away without injury.
