Ninja Warrior and Olympian Dies Suddenly Aged 50
The reality star champ and sportsman died at his home on Sunday.
Paul Lyons' death was announced on his business' Instagram page.
"This morning, beloved head coach Paul Lyons passed away suddenly but peacefully in his sleep. We are still in shock," the post said.
Lyons is a two-time Olympian in Taekwondo having represented Australia at the Barcelona Olympic in 1992.
But it was his stint on Australian fitness program Ninja Warrior in 2018 that won him a legion of fans.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to cover the cost of a farewell 'worth HIS worth'.
The fundraising page was set up by his wife and friends and is looking to raise $20,000.
His wife Dani posted a tribute to her husband following his death.
"My heart is smashed into a million pieces and I can’t believe my soulmate and best friend is gone" she wrote.
"We had so many plans for our future and were only weeks away from moving into our new house and having a fresh start."
"Our family will never be the same and we are heart broken."
