Waiter Shot Dead For 'Being Too Slow With Sandwich'

A waiter was shot dead by a dissatisfied client in a restaurant in the Paris suburb of Noisy-le-Grand on Friday, local media reported.

The client was unhappy that his sandwich was not prepared fast enough, local newspaper Le Parisien quoted witnesses as saying.

The 28-year-old victim died on the spot in the Paris suburb of Noisy-le-Grand , despite the intervention of emergency services, according to media reports.

Police are in search of the shooter, who was presumed to be at large, Le Parisien said.

The pizzeria had only recently opened, the newspaper reported, quoting residents who expressed sadness over the crime.

A resident told BFMTV that the surroundings had degenerated, with drunks and drug users frequenting the neighbourhood.

Police at Noisy-le-Grand told Reuters an investigation was underway.
