Woman Claims Hair Fell Out After Using 'Tampered' Supermarket Conditioner

A woman said she was forced to shave her hair after using a conditioner which she claims was allegedly mixed with hair removal cream.

Ashley Rose Robinson, 21, claims the conditioner she purchased from the supermarket Walmart in Wisconsin had been mixed with some type depilatory cream, causing her hair to fall out in chunks.

Robinson said she was using the Pantene brand conditioner in the shower when she noticed a bad odour. Ten minutes later, she was surrounded by a pile of hair.

Robinson believes the conditioner was tampered with and mixed with hair removal cream.

She told 10 daily, she has used that brand before but not all the time.

"I always change it up and don’t use the same brand every time".

"To have hair one minute and it falling out the next was devastating". She added.

Robinson rushed to the hospital with a red and irritated scalp and excessive hair loss. She took to Facebook to express how much pain she was going through and urge customers to check their bottles before use.

"Picture do not do it justice or show the 100% damage it has caused me...

My only intentions for sharing is to prevent it from happening to anyone else. Check your bottles where ever you get them, nothing can be trusted anymore." Robinson said.

Robinson then decided to shave her hair off completely after her hair was constantly shedding.

Robinson's friend, Ashley Krone, has set up a GoFundMe page which was established to help Robinson to  purchase some wigs and extensions.

She has currently raised over AU$2,000.
