The three-year-old was sleeping next to her mother at the Tatanagar station last week when she was picked up by a man and carried away. According to reports the mother had just left her husband and was travelling with her new partner. After waking up alone, her frantic mother phoned the police who found the girl's body, she was allegedly gang-raped and her head was missing. She was found at a separate train station, according to the Times of India. Three men have been arrested, among them, a man believed to be the mother's partner who is being investigated for child trafficking.
A man has been killed in a fire in Sydney’s inner city. Emergency crews were called to an apartment block on George Street Redfern about 4am this morning. More than 40 people were evacuated as firefighters battled the flames, but the 50-year-old didn’t make it out.
