Washing Powder Spilling From Passenger's Bag Causes Chaos At Sydney Airport
A package of unidentified white powder has caused a stir after being found in the baggage hold of a Qantas flight at Sydney airport.
Eight fire units, hazmat crews and police were called to the scene on the ground below the Boeing 737 after the discovery.
Passengers on board the flight were offloaded to another plane for safety.
However, the Australian Federal Police working with airport staff quickly determined that the substance was, in fact, washing powder.
Sydney Airport have been contacted for comment.
