Man Drugged, Kidnapped, Forced To Hand Over Luxury Car
Three people have been charged after allegedly drugging and robbing a man in a terrifying ordeal on Tuesday.
Police allege a 27-year-old man from Brisbane's north met a woman in the Logan suburb of Crestmead Tuesday morning, following a few weeks of the pair talking on social media. While chatting with the woman, she gave him an "unknown substance" which he consumed, leading to him passing out.
When he woke up, the man claimed he was threatened with a knife by two other men. The two men and woman are then reported to have demanded his credit card, then made him hand over ownership of his luxury BMW.
He was then allegedly driven in a four-wheel-drive to an ATM in Woodridge, where the trio forced him to withdraw cash from his bank account.
The man was then let go and he immediately called police. He did not suffer any serious injuries as a result of the incident.
Police have charged three people, including a man and woman who were found in the four-wheel-drive used to transport the victim, a short time later. They are expected to appear in Beenleigh magistrates court on Wednesday.
