Hundreds Of Campers Evacuated As Huge Fire Breaks Out
One person has been treated for ember burns after a blaze broke out at a popular camping spot in north-west Queensland.
Emergency services were called to the Adels Grove Camping Ground north of Mount Isa at around 1am this morning to find multiple buildings well alight.
The flames ripped through the reception building and a restaurant kitchen, forcing around 500 people to flee.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services confirmed that at 8am there were still four fire crews at the scene, but all people in the park were accounted for.
No one was seriously injured, with "only one person requiring treatment for a minor ember burn," according to Ambulance Queensland.
Queensland police are investigating the cause of the blaze.
