Man Charged For Stalking Teenage Girl And Performing Sexual Acts On Himself

A man is due to appear in Campbelltown Local Court Tuesday for stalking a teenage girl and carrying out a sexual act without consent.

A 13-year-old girl was walking home from her Glenfield school at approximately 3.15 pm on Monday afternoon when she noticed a male stranger following her.

The man was allegedly carrying out a sex act on himself and calling out to her to get her attention.

The teenager attempted to hurry away from him but he pursued her.

Whilst she got him off her trail, she called her mother who notified police while she sought refuge in a nearby home.

Police conducted an extensive search of the Glenfield area for the man, who was then arrested at about 4.30pm.

While the man was being taken to Campbelltown and arrived in the custody area of the police station, he continued to perform sexual acts on himself.

He has been charged with intentionally performing a sexual act with a child aged between 10 and 16-years-old as well as stalking and intimidating and carrying out a sexual act without consent.

The suspect has been refused bail.
