Child Fighting For Life After Boat 'Capsizes' Off Queensland Coast

A boy who spent six hours at sea with two men after their boat is believed to have capsized off the Queensland coast is in a critical condition.

Water police raced to sea to find the trio after receiving a distress call from the 5.2-metre vessel in the early hours of Sunday morning.

They were about 14km off the coast of Caloundra when something went wrong.

The child has been airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a critical condition, while the two men were brought back to land by marine rescue.

It is understood the men have hypothermia and are being assessed by paramedics.

More to come.
